Description and Extensions
- Description
- NCI2016_NCI-GLOSS_1602D:Cancer that begins in the lobules (the glands that make milk) of the breast. Lobular carcinoma in situ (LCIS) is a condition in which abnormal cells are found only in the lobules. When cancer has spread from the lobules to surrounding tissues, it is invasive lobular carcinoma. LCIS does not become invasive lobular carcinoma very often, but having LCIS in one breast increases the risk of developing invasive cancer in either breast.|NCI2016_02D:An adenocarcinoma of the breast arising from the lobules. This is a relatively uncommon carcinoma, represents approximately 10% of the breast adenocarcinomas and is often bilateral or multifocal.|MSH2017_2016_08_12:A type of BREAST CANCER where the abnormal malignant cells form in the lobules, or milk-producing glands, of the breast.
